Font - I recently had a plane change at BWI on the way home. As I boarded (A21) I overheard a tense exchange between the guy in the front row aisle seat and the FA. After I settled into my seat I could hear her tell him

Font - and shortly after someone who said they were the Station Manager had the same conversation with him. He refused and was told that his ticket would be forfeited and SW would not book him on another flight, but called their bluff too. At that point,

Smile - 'thanks a lot a le.' It seemed that the issue was a refusal to put his bag in the overhead since there wasn't a seat in front of him to put it under.

Font - Six members of the Baltimore PD appeared from various directions and escorted Mr. J off the plane. I was surprised that he was not handcuffed. Shortly after we reboarded and were on our way home. I was impressed

Font - were only an hour late getting home. I suspect that Mr. Entitled will not be able to book any flights on SW for a while. I do not know what the outcome of his discussion with the BPD was. They were still talking in the adjacent gate as we reboarded.

Smile - missionbeach Why do people turn crazy when they get to the airport?

Rectangle - 8dtfk Question is - why do they continue to sell tickets to the crazy??
  • 15
Font - JomolaMomo Yes, Southwest can and does ban people over not complying with the lawful order of the cabin crew. All airlines do. That happens to be a federal offense so Mr. McJerkface could be looking at a fine and jail time for his little tantrum. On top of never being allowed on a Southwest flight again.

Font - All luggage must be stowed prior to take off and landing in the event of a crash, loose items become projectiles and can injure someone.
  • 17
Font - SnowHoliday7509 Refusing to obey crew instructions IS a threat to the aircraft. Mr. Jerk's behavior is not going to change once in the air or on an emergency.

Font - trademarkedbyjesse Don't condone his behavior just because he wasn't clearly making a threat. Not following rules is a passive threat. I'm sick of whiny s and entitled . Play by the rules or buy your own private jet. Either way, shut the up and quit negatively affecting those around you.

Font - susetchka Honestly, I'd want to sue anyone who acted up and caused a delay. So American, I know. But really. Sit down, shut up and follow instructions. Not hard.

Human body - V Gordon_Explosion It's like we have a "Do Not Fly" list that isn't being used to its full potential.

Font - TheFoxAnd The Raven The airlines can ban you from flying with them indefinitely if they so choose. And once law enforcement has to step in, that kicks it upstairs. It's not a guaranteed ban but he's more than likely driving to his destination for this trip.

Font - Designer-String-3057 What you mean is that guy won't be flying on SWA again. Getting banned from one airline does not get you banned from all airlines. +1+ Reply Share TheFoxAnd The Raven True, although ending up on the No Fly List is a real possibility when you delay a flight and force folks with badges to escort you off an airplane.

Font - SecAdmin-1125 Maybe they should have a questionnaire when buying tickets to see if the person is crazy. +1+ Reply Share matt55217 OP ... Except that crazies rarely know or admit they are crazy.
